Splose
Splose is AI-powered practice management software for allied health professionals - handling scheduling, clinical notes, invoicing and payments so practitioners can focus on clients
Everything on this page comes from connecting and reconciling Splose inside Xero for allied health practices - mapping accounts, configuring NDIS and private invoicing, and keeping practitioner billing in sync with the books. This is what we have learned

Getting started
How to connect Splose to Xero
Authorise Splose with your Xero organisation, map your chart of accounts, then configure how invoices and payments sync between both systems
Before you start
- confirm you have Xero Advisor access - a Standard user cannot authorise the connection
- if you have multiple Xero organisations, confirm which one to connect before you begin
Create your Splose account
- go to splose.com and click Get started
- complete the signup with your practice details - 14-day free trial, no credit card required
Connect Xero
- in Splose, go to Settings Integrations Xero
- click Connect to Xero - you will be redirected to the Xero authorisation screen
- select the correct Xero organisation and click Allow access
- confirm the connection status shows as active back in Splose
Configure invoice settings
- map your Splose service types to the correct Xero revenue accounts
- confirm your default tax rate (GST on Income for most Australian practices)
- if you use Xero tracking categories for practitioner or location reporting, map those in the integration settings
Invite your bookkeeper
- go to Settings Team and invite your bookkeeper or accountant with limited access
- this lets them view invoice and payment data without accessing clinical records
Test the sync
- create a test invoice in Splose and sync it to Xero
- in Xero, check Sales Invoices - the invoice should appear with the correct account code, tax rate and contact
- mark the invoice as paid in Xero and confirm the payment status updates in Splose
Things to know
What to watch out for
Splose handles most of the invoicing workflow well, but these are the areas that need attention
NDIS invoice formatting
NDIS plan managers have specific formatting requirements. Check that your Splose invoice templates match what each plan manager expects before batch-sending
Sync timing
Invoices sync when triggered, not continuously. If you create invoices in bulk, allow time for the batch to process before checking Xero
Account mapping
Each service type in Splose needs to map to a Xero account. Miss one and invoices land in the wrong account - worth auditing after the first month
Smaller user base
Splose is newer and smaller than Cliniko or Halaxy. That means faster feature development, but also fewer community resources when troubleshooting edge cases
Xero reconnection
Like most Xero integrations, the OAuth connection can expire. If invoices stop syncing, the first thing to check is whether the Xero connection needs reauthorising
