Your role

In this role you will work with businesses of different sizes, in various industries as part of their accounts team, ensuring that their accounts in Xero are kept up to date day-to-day

As you get to know each business, you can apply your understanding of their numbers to highlight insights to help the business owners

You will also work with different cloud-based apps that people use to run their business, and learn how each one integrates with accounting workflows


Your core responsibilities -

  • Work directly with multiple businesses to prepare their accounts in Xero
  • Reconcile accounts in line with client agreements
  • Enter bills and receipts, schedule and process supplier payments
  • Prepare Australian compliance reporting such as Business Activity Statements (BAS), or Superannuation Guarantee Charge (SGC) statements
  • Reconcile balance sheets including inter-company assets and loans
  • Review accounts to assess business performance, and prepare management reports
  • Work with connected apps such as Dext, Fathom, and many more
  • Communicate directly with clients over the phone and in writing to get things done
  • Stay up to date with Australian accounting requirements and changes to our industry

What experience are we looking for?

  • 3-5 years experience as a qualified accountant, ideally with BPO experience
  • Experience with Australian businesses
  • Experience using Xero or MYOB
